Two Tier Tiara Cake

My lovely friend Tamara turned 18 on December 29, so in the post-Christmas crazy that seems to fill the void between Christmas & New Year I had to put this baby together!

It was a 2 tier chocolate mudcake, covered with dark chocolate ganache and then covered with fondant. It was hot and humid again, but held up well – and no cake burps this time!

I made the tiara from gumpaste, and then covered it in edible glitter. Technically it was completely edible but I imagine it would taste like rubbish. The figurine was all edible although the body was made around a foam cone as it would have been far too heavy otherwise. The dress was “supposed” to match Tamara’s… Sort of!?

I think this is my new favourite!!

P.S. my boyfriend got me an airbrush kit for Christmas…. YAAAY! Expect great (I mean, average) things to come!
